Service developments
We have a late evening surgery (GP & nurses - pre-booked appointments only) from 6.30 - 7.00 pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday ( except bank holidays). Hopefully this will help some of our patients who can't make it to the surgery during the day.
The appointments system, for morning and evening surgeries seems to be working reasonably well, and has decreased patient waiting times to less than 30 minutes on most days. The patient waiting times are being monitored regularly and we hope to make continued improvements. If you have any problems getting an appointment to see Dr Vasu or Dr Danish you may be able to request an appointment with our Practice Nurse Mrs Leanne Osmond who is available for patients over 2 years old with minor illnesses (coughs, colds etc). You could also leave a contact number for one of us to ring you if you feel matters can be dealt with on the phone alone.
Since moving into the new premises in Jan 2004 and the arrival of the new GP Contract the practice has gone through a process of modernisation. We have reviewed our administrative and nursing support staff. We have increased our Practice Nursing & secretarial hours, and appointed new receptionists and a Quality Manager to continuously improve services. Our Practice Manager has reduced her hours as she is now semi-retired. We are confident that we have the right team and the infrastructure to meet the challenges of the New NHS.
